Why does it always show "no recent activity"

So I have used my app forever and now with 3 different devices one, flex, and now charge HR. It shows I'm using it and tracking steps and working great but when you click on my profile it shows no recent activity and also when viewed in friends list same thing. Wish I could add my screen shots so you know what I am talking about. Anyway it's frustrating! My friends and I like to see where we all are and do challenges. Because the app doesn't show I have any activity they have to search for me to add me to challenges. It's just annoying 😠😤

My Flex account which I have had since 2014 is newly showing 'no activity' for me. Only recent change is I changed my name to my first name and just my last initial. On my Fitbit account online, I don't see 'Friends Ranking' at the bottom of the personal info tab.

Has anyone found a solution to this yet??

This is why good products go away. The people at the top have no idea their product doesn’t work as advertised but they’ll pressure the sales team and cut prices without ever correcting the fundamental problem. Anyone serious will eventually migrate to a platform which does work.

I have the same problem as everyone else and the instructions posted are no longer valid.

I will be moving to a different product when it comes time to replace my

Yup. Worked. Couldn’t find the other fix option in settings so tried yours (to log out and log in) and it worked. My stats show up now. Yay!

Sorry but how do I find friends ranking?? I cannot find it.

I gave up on Fitbit and have been using Garmin for the past 7 months. I am
much happier.

Hello. I have a Flex2. I found the gear icon, settings, and personal info but there is nothing under there that says friends rankings.

When you go to add a friend to a challenge it says."No activity" by their name. I have a Fitbit Versa and when I log into fitbit.com/settings/personal info...I DO NOT have the friends ranking option to turn on. Please advise as I would like to see my friends activity.

Hello @Awesome_one I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community.

First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay in the response. Thanks for reaching us out and letting us know about this situation. Tell me, when you go to the Community tab in the Fitbit app and tap on Friends, are you able to see all your friends? Would it be possible for you to reply to us with a screenshot of what you're able to see?

Note that if some of your friends haven't synced their devices recently, they might show up with the message "No recent activity".

Now, in the online Dashboard, you will be able to see a grid icon (with 9 little squares) to the far left of the screen, click on it and you'll be able to add the tiles missing in your Dashboard, including the Friends tile.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

Please revise this part of your post:

"Note that if some of your friends haven't synced their devices recently, they might show up with the message "No recent activity". "

I have tons of friends on my list and if I look at the main Friends tab or on the Windows App, their total current active steps show as they should, but when trying to add people for challenges, they show no recent activity.  In the Windows app it says their steps per week are their steps per day, but that is an issue for another day.

There is NO way that none of my friends have stopped just in the adding friends to challenges, but they update in the friends tab.

Hello @kookykrazee I hope you're doing well, thanks for joining the conversation.

I appreciate you have let us know your friends do have recent activity and they're still unable to add them to challenges. At this moment, I would like to ask you for a screenshot of your leaderboard and one of the Challenge page when you're trying to add friends. This will be very helpful for us to check this further.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

There are many screen shots of this issues on the forums, look for the ones that show no activity for the friends on the list.  This happens whenever I attempt to start a challenge.  If I look at my friends list, it shows their active step totals.
