Can anyone tell me why Fitbit hasn't updated their app to allow dark mode?

When will the option be available for dark mode? Other apps allow you to follow your system settings. If other apps can add this feature, what’s Fitbit’s hold up?

Hello @CrossFitterUSMC
No, Fitbit currently still does not have dark mode. But you can vote to have it here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Dark-Theme-in-Fitbit-App-Android-Win10-and-iOS/i...
Hopefully with enough votes the change can be made.
😃 Please let me know if this does give you the best answer to your question

Why? What possible reason could there be for not adding a dark theme in the iOS app? It's ridiculous that this feature, which has been requested over and over for years, just doesn't get any kind of response besides "we don't wanna". Figure. It. Out.
😉 I would totally agree that a dark mode option would be hugely beneficial to many Fitbit users who, like myself, suffer from vision issues. I understand it’s currently “not planned” but I did indeed vote in the link provided. Hopefully in time it can be considered in the near future.
There really should be plans to do it though. It's a pretty standard feature these days and for a health app to disregard eye health for their users is a bit ridiculous!!
Agree. This is considered a standard feature across all other applications and Fitbit is behind. This is a major problem when using the application for exercising in the dark such as early morning walks or runs.
I see that this is a customer request going back to at least 2018 I'm curious as to why it's not on your product roadmap.
Guess who else now has dark mode and Fitbit still doesn't? MyFitnessPal. I honestly thought it would be a cold day in hell before MFP got around to it, but they finally did.
Let's go, Fitbit. You're now the only fitness-related app I use daily that doesn't have dark mode. Get. It. Done.
Users have literally been asking for it since 2015 and nothing....not even a consideration.
What I love most* about all this is that there have been (likely more complicated) features with fewer votes released in shorter time.
*feel is infuriating
