I have noticed when entering food intake on either my iphone or ipad, sometines - not all of the time - when I adjust the portion size, the calorie count does not change. I then have to go to the website on my windows laptop and adjust the quantity up and down again and the calorie count adjusts. I haven't noticed any pattern to the problem - it happens with some foods but not all. I have had the problem with mashed potatos and today had the problem with chili. It is frustrating as I like the interface on the ios app better when entering food.

Welcome to the forums @jeterway! Thank you very much for letting us know about the food items that are not updating their calories when updated.
We've had some reports regarding the food logs not updating, and our development team is aware of this issue. They'll be investigating this further and see what can be done to get this fixed.
Let me know if you have any questions, happy stepping!

Has there been a resolution to this issue yet? I am having the same problem with the calories not updating when I change the amount of food.

I don't know if this is fixed yet. I got tired of waiting and now only use myfitnesspal to log my food. It seems hard to believe that a product designed to encourage monitoring calories in and out would let a problem like this go on for so long. Using the website all of the time is just not convenient and is more cumbersome than using the apps. But they don't really seem to care given how long this problem has existed.
