Ever since I updated to iOS 13.1 my text messages do not sync with Fitbit. It’s been a couple days now & I'm frustrated. Anyone have a fix?

hello again @sbarksdale77

Do you mind trying just this one more thing? I think it’s worth a shot.....
Go to the phone settings and then go to Bluetooth. Here, look for the Alta HR as a connected device. and Tap on it and select the option that says Forget this device. Once you've done that, go to the Fitbit app, tap on the Alta HR icon at the top of the screen and go to Notifications. Enable them and it should connect to your bluetooth again. After this, send yourself a test notification and see if it works better after that.
Then:

  1. On your iPhone's settings, tap on "Bluetooth".
  2. Then tap on "i" button next to your Fitbit device's name.
  3. Turn on toggle switch next to "Share System Notifications"
  4. Then test the notifications one more time.

😃 please let me know if this does the trick

Hello @sbarksdale77

I hope I can help.

First make sure your phone alerts are enabled in the Fitbit app:

open Fitbit app

tap profile picture on upper left side of your screen

scroll down and tap “Alta” (just under “My Family”)

scroll down and tap notifications

chose which notifications you want to receive

then just tap “Today” at the bottom of your screen to return to homepage

* if your still not receiving phone alerts then proceed to this:

On your device go to

- iOS Settings > Notifications > Messages > Show Previews > Always (Default)  and make sure it does say always default

lastly make sure your Bluetooth is correctly connected to your Fitbit app since the new iOS update is tricker by doing this:

How do I allow or deny Bluetooth for apps in iOS 13 or iPadOS?
  • On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Privacy > Bluetooth.
  • You should see a list of every app that requested Bluetooth access on your device.
  • Turn the switch on or off for each device.

😃 I hope I was able to help you find a solution to your issue. Please let me know if this is an acceptable solution

Hi, unfortunately nothing has worked. I’ve called support & they also walked me through same steps. They told me they are aware of issue due to 13.1 update & are working on a fix. So frustrating that my Fitbit isn’t working as expected! Thanks for checking back.
