iOS app not logging food and/or water

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
In the last week or so, when I try to log in water or food, then hit Save, it doesn't take. I have to enter it 2 or 3 times. Sometimes shutting down the app will fix it, but usually not.

Have installed 2.21.1 but still have to force quit and restart to get the list on the phone to update.

Glad to know I'm not the only one having this issue. I emailed them about it just now before I read this thread.

As the subject indicates! Frequent crashing when logging exercise and food.
Food items will also disappear when logged. Only to double up if re entered (magically reappears!)
Cheers

Sorry fitbit, but as this has been an issue for what seems like at least 2 years, it doesnt seem like you have the will to fix it, not really. As long as people still pay you money and you can still sell people's personal information to third parties you don't seem to care. Between this and your refusal to provide synching for Apple Healthkit I am finally giving up on the FitBit ecosystem. I tried, I really did, but you dont seem to be trying to make things easy to use for people, instead you make them harder and I just don't have the time. Bye!

@Runks @anon345232 I've moved your posts to this thread where users are experiencing something similar.

@Runks It sounds like you are experiencing both of the problems mentioned in my previous post.

The food crash has been resolved with the release of 2.21.1 earlier this week. If you haven't already updated, click here to be redirected to the iOS App Store.

@anon345232 What you are experiencing is an issue that our team is currently working to resolve. Apologies for any potential inconvenience while the issue is being worked out.

I just updated the app to 2.21.1 as suggested, which hopefully fixed the annoying crashing problem. But the double-counting/no-counting issue is still happening for me. For example, I just logged one item for dinner, but it didn't show up on the list nor were the calories added to my total. So I logged it again and it showed up once on the list, but now I'm over calories because it was added twice to my total calories (yes, I did the math and the number of calories showing on my list is less than what's shown as my total calories, and the difference is exactly the amount of the item I had to enter twice for dinner).

Exactly the same problem. iPhone 6 and latest software and app version. It started randomly about 3 weeks ago having worked perfectly for several months since I decided to start using the feature. Very annoying having to re-enter data, then sometimes it appears doubled up next time or indeed disappears altogether.

It is very clear. Now, please fix what you broke. Sooner, not later.

Been having these problems for many days now. Using 2.21.1 so problem not fixed.
Sometimes they come back but is random. Seems to disappear when the food items (when added using save & add more) seem to get re-ordered. Getting very annoyed with having to double check and re-enter (and then find out later they have suddenly reappeared so are entered twice).

@IdrisFree as a temporary solution you can log food via fitbit.com

Other than that there's nothing we can do but wait for fitbit to fix it. They'll update the main thread when there's any news.
