iOS app size concern and suggestion

The size of the fitbit app is getting quite large and is now the largest app on my 16gb iPad . When your app is bigger at 270 mb which is 20% larger than Facebook.. on devices with low space this becomes a issue. Any chance of offering a smaller app choice for basic use. I assume the larger app is due to the advertising being pushed through the device?
