Hi Everyone-
Update 5/27/2020: This issue has been resolved. If you still see a “no longer shared” message please make sure your app and OS are updated to the latest versions.
I've merged a few posts together.
We're aware of an issue where some customers who update their iPhone to iOS 13.5 see this error message when they open apps, including the Fitbit app: “This app is no longer shared with you, to use it, you must buy it from the App store." To resolve the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app. If this doesn’t resolve the issue for you, we hope to have more information soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution. Thanks for your patience!

I also have had exactly the same issue. I got a new iPhone SE yesterday and have not been able to sync my phone with the app. I do hope that Fitbit figures out a resolution very soon!

After deleting and then reinstalling the app, now it can't seem to find the device so it is no longer synching with the latest data from my Fitbit! Please advise soon.
Ok, now I'm good as I had to switch my device and reload a new one of the same model to find it.

Hi. Thank you for the info. I deleted the app and put the new one on. It would not sync w my versa. So I turned my versa off and back on and then it synced all my current data.

Nothing I try is working...Fitbit won’t communicate with the app

I tried uninstalling and having my phone forget the bluetooth. Now it won't reconnect. When it started today, it blocked my clock face and then reverted to the original clock fact. Now can't connect to the app at all. Had issues the last couple days also but uninstalling worked then.

Thanks for addressing this. I was able to re-install the app. I has kept most of my data. The only remaining problem is that the step count is way out. It says I took a total of 36 steps yesterday 🙂

Did you lose any data? I lost basically 1.5 days certain heart rate data, exercise, sleep, etc. it’s kind of a random assortment of things. Steps, floors, calories, active minutes I think are all there.

Hmm.. have Charge 2. Just began being unable to finish a sync with “failed to sync”. Already removed app, rebooted phone, readded app and logged in. When I readd the app, it will let me know that “fitbit wants to use bluetooth”, at which point it detects the Charge 2 fine - but on launching app, wont complete sync. It will show theCharge 2 after the first app launch in the Bluetooth devices list, but after closing it and reopening it,the fitbit is no longer visible. Charge 2 is at max battery because i just charged it up a couple hours ago. However - while i did not upgrade to 13.5, this seems awfully coincidental.

I unpaired and tried to repair based on the advice in this thread. Now can't reconnect my device. I go through the steps, enter the code on the screen and get an error message, retry and get same, repeat. Really frustrating.
Now a new message - "Fitbit setup is temporarily offline due to a server issue." Would have been nice to get that message before unpairing the device.

My versa 2 has just arrived and I keep getting a 503 error code. Won’t even pair. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, reset phone and watch and still won’t work. I’m very frustrated as I’ve been on for hours trying to get it to work

I am beyond frustrated, just returned an apple watch to go back to fitbit and then this craziness happens. Will it resolve quickly because it is my only watch or am i going to garmin

Fitbit was fine this morning. Tracked the two walks I took. About mid-day I updated the IOS when I took a nap, woke up and saw it hadn't tracked my sleep. Removed device from bluetooth, deleted the app, reinstalled app.
Now trying to reset up my Alta inside the Fitbit app and getting this message "Fitbit Set-up is temporarily offline due to a server issue. We're working to restore service."
Going to put it in a drawer and try again tomorrow. My iphone counts steps too.

I removed my fitbit and attempted to re-add it, but I'm currently getting a message
"Fitbit setup is temporarily offline due to a server issue. We're working to restore service"
So I'm guessing they have some larger issues happening.
I'd recommend just waiting it out.

if I uninstall the app, will I lose current data?
