iOs App version 3.28 not working?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi!

I upgraded to iOs App version 3.28 last night and since then the app doesn’t appear to work. When opening the app, all I get is blank screen with fitbit text on top of it. I’m running it on iOS 13.6.1.

Is this a known bug and what should I do?

I have exactly the same problem.

The latest Fitbit 3.28 WAS working, then I installed IOS 13.6.1 and got the blank screen.

I deleted the app, then redownloaded and logged back in.  It seems to work now with all my historical data, but still treats me like a new user.  (annoying)

I am having the same issue: new version 3.28 app will show only a blank screen and do nothing for as long as i keep it open. I have not been able to sync since updating yesterday. Previous version was working fine.IMG_6615.PNG

I can get in to the app, but my Charge 4 was showing up as “(nill)”. Removed device, and tried to set it up again, and now Charge 4 is not available in available devices.

Is anyone else having trouble with the Fitbit app having a completely blank dashboard and unable to sync?

My all was working fine until I performed a routine app update and now my app will not sync with my Fitbit and my dashboard is completely blank.

Hey everyone! Are you all having issues with the new iOS v.3.28 update? My app is completely blank except for the Fitbit logo. Will it still count my steps and record my sleep between now and when it’s fixed?

@EvonneWong   Whenever I get an automatic app update that misbehaves, I delete it, restart my phone, then download it again from the App Store.  Try that.

I believe most Fitbits can store seven days of detailed data if this blank app isn't syncing.  You can look at your dashboard on fitbit.com using a web browser.  If your Fitbit is syncing, you will see your data on your web dashboard.  When your Fitbit syncs, you data goes to your account on the Fitbit servers.  It isn't stored on your phone.  You can also verify the last time your Fitbit synced.  This information is on your web dashboard.

My app was working fine this morning (8/19) but when i came back from walking and i went to stop my activity log for the day, everything on the app. I couldn’t click on anything. I updated to v3.28. I even made sure my IOS on my iPhone 8 plus was updated. STILL NOTHING!!!

i hope they fix it and I didn’t lose my activity log.

Hello everyone, thanks for your participation in the Community.

Thank you for reporting the issue with the app after updating to version 3.28. I appreciate the additional details and screenshots. Have you tried the suggestion provided by @LZeeW to delete the app, restart the phone, then download it again from the App Store? If the issue persists, please provide your OS for us to investigate further.

@LZeeW thank you for your support!

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

@EvonneWong and others...

@LZeeW is correct in her understanding of how long data is stored in the device - it is seven days for minute by minute stats for the last three devices I have owned - Alta HR, Charge 3 and Versa 2. This comes from the actual owner's manual for those three devices. One would suspect the same holds true for any device introduced in the last three years.

While only the Alta HR manual explicitly states it, you should also find that summary data is kept for 30 days.

Plenty of time to deal with the issue without losing data your device is collecting.

Good luck.

I´m holding on for an application update that fixes this. I am checking updates in the app store several times a day, as this app is very important for me and i use it very frequently.

It doesn’t sound like the ideal option as he claims that he’s now being treated like a new user.

@Yahne76 sorry to hear that, not sure what happened. Logging out and logging back in should not result in losing information.

Thanks, everyone for your reports. To help our team review, if you are still experiencing a white screen on version 3.28 and have tried restarting your phone and logging out and logging back in, can you please let us know and also provide the type of mobile device and OS you are currently on? Thanks very much.
