iPhone 7 Stairs to Fitbit

Hi everyone. I am considering upgrading my cellphone to the iPhone 7 or 6 depending on price. Both devices have a barometer. My current iPhone 5S sends steps and calories to my fitbit app whenever i am NOT using my Blaze.

Does the iPhone 6 or 7 send STAIRS to the Fitbit App via mobile Track. Yes i read that Mobile Track does not “read” flights of stairs.

Thanks.

A Fitbit Tracker (which is able to track floors) is required to track stairs.

Hi Mystiq_Goalie Thank you for your kind response.

If Mobile Track can read steps and then extrapolate calories from the phone’s sensor then it should not be too hard to recode Mobile Track to do the same for stairs. My Fitbit Blaze does get some down time say during charging and for those social engagements when i wish to wear a different watch. Perhaps we need to add this to a feature request.

Thanks for the quote.

“Some strangers are new friends in disguise” i made that up lol

Hey @Ronald1 and @SunsetRunner.

@SunsetRunner Thanks for chiming in and for your response.

@Ronald1 That sounds like a good idea. Please do post about it on the Feature Suggestions board. If you do, perhaps you could post your idea back in here so that other users looking at the thread can go and support it.

Hope to see you around!
