iPhone app crashes every time after 8/10/17 update. Please fix it ASAP.

The iPhone app has been working great over the past 2 years but after the most recent update (August 10, 2017), it crashes every time I open it. It seems like many people have the same issue with the most recent update. I've chatted with your online representative and she said it was an issue with iOS 10. Please fix the issue as soon as possible. The iPhone app is useless right now, my work week hustle was ruined by this update. Smiley Frustrated

=====================

My update on 8/13/2017:

I downloaded the Fitbit iPhone app on my iPad, the app doesn't crash because my iPad is not iOS 10, and is working fine on my iPad so far.

Yep I downloaded the mobile app on my iPad, the app doesn't crash because my iPad is not iOS 10, and is working fine on my iPad. Only issue is they don't have an iPad version of the mobile app so I had to download the iPhone version on my iPad. I can't use the fitbit computer app on my MacBook Pro, because so unfair Charge HR didn't come with a dongle. Right now the Fitbit team should work on solving the iPhone app crashing problem ASAP. Smiley Indifferent

Hi Chenl15,

Regarding your mobile app crashes problem , you may try to format your phone & restore a older version of back up from iTunes . It will work. After that don't ever try to update your Fitbit apps.

I have lost the fitbit app totally since the update. Running ios 10 on iphone. I can not download the app at all on any device. How much data will my surge hold as it can not sync? Any news on the fix?

I've been having the same issue - the only way I've been able to fix it is to uninstall and reinstall the app.  Have done this about 10 times over the past few days - v annoying.  I've emailed FitBit support.  Seems to be an issue for both Charge HR and my new Alta HR, so it must be a software issue, unless I've been incredibly unlucky with two devices... I notice that FitBit has issued a couple of new app updates over the last couple of days, so perhaps they are trying to fix it.  Good luck! Lucy
