i tried to log a 2.5 hours hike yesterday. GPS data as well as energy were peoperly logged. On the heart rate tab, thw message "not enough heart rate data available" is displayed, which I find strange for such a long workout. Is it a bug in the SW or a handling issue?
Wearing a Charge 3, Firmware 28.20001.88.11. Using an Android Smartphone, all updates installed.
Thanks for your support. Best, Th.

Hello @Bluehouse and welcome to the Help forums. When you logged your hike, did you start it from the Fitbit app? Did you tap on the + on the exercise tile and do this where the only options are Walk, Run, and Hike? That feature used to report your heart rate. It disappeared in Oct 2019. Fitbit has never explained if this is a bug that they just haven't fixed or if it was intentional on their part.
If you want the heart rate data, you must use the Exercise app on your Charge 3 device. If you don't have Hike on your list of Exercise Shortcuts, this Help article has instructions.

If starting from the device works and from the phone doesn't, it's yet another example of poor programming.
