I'm starting this thread because although this issue was said to have been resolved back in May, it is not resolved here on my end. The Fitbit App on my Iphone 7+ will not consider itself connected to the internet unless I am using WiFi. I am currently using Cellular Data, and am posting this up through the web portal supplied by the Fitbit app! I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I have all of the phone and app updates, i've restarted my phone several times, i've checked to make sure that the cellular data use option was toggled on for the fitbit app; i've turned off WiFi and thus removed the option for the app in case it was somehow 'preferring' WiFi. I've toggled off WiFi Assist in case that was the problem as well, and the app will still not register that it is connected to the internet unless it is connected to WiFi. I cannot use the food log to find food items, nor sync the fitbit app and tracker, though I can access the community threads. This has been very frustrating, and it's obviously still a bug in the software.
Moderator Edit: Clarified Subject + Format.

Hello @DrZPlaya05, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would also like to thank you for letting us know about the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to go to your phone Settings > Fitbit and make sure "Background App Refresh" is enabled. Keep in mind that if you're currently in "Low Power Mode" on your phone, the option will be grayed out. Now, if you have already enabled that option, I would like to gather some information from you so we can check this further:
Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

I occasionally receive that message when opening the Fitbit app on my iPhone 6S+ and have found the following to take care of the problem.
Double press the home button to open the background apps. Swipe up any app you want removed from the background. When I remove the Fitbit background app and press the home button then I can open the Fitbit app without getting the "No network connection..." message. Worth a try!

I have same problem. Wants internet connection. I did allow background refresh after reading the recommendations .I can’t do search for calories to add food nor delete the female health. I do not have WiFi when home. I use cellular data. Disappointed
