saving data when out of cell phone service range

I'll be doing a 15-20 day hike later this summer and was wondering if it is possible to use the IOS Ap to save the data from my Fitbit Charge even though I'll be out of cell phone range and will likely have my phone in airplane mode.  I'll have a USB charger with me and can recharge my Fitbit when the battery runs out, but also know that it can only store 5 days of data.  I was planning to synch it with my phone through bluetooth every four days or so, but the phone won't be able to sync to the website until the end of the hike.  Will this work? Or, when I sync at the end of the hike, will the app only download data that it can confirm on the actual Fitbit (which would only be holding data for the last 5 days of the hike)?

@SunsetRunner Unfortunately fitness data is not stored natively in the App or on mobile devices which which is why an internet connection is required for syncing Fitbit trackers.

Almost all Fitbit trackers can record detailed minute-to-minute data for seven day, with the exception of Alta. Also, daily totals are stored for up to 30 days for all trackers. So hypothetically if you don't sync your entire hike you'll have the daily totals for your hike, but you won't have the minute-to-minute breakdown of data. Click here for more details.

So, after completing a 4 hour hike out of cell phone range, I can see the mileage, pace, time, but my iphone 6 says (not synched), and it doesn't show on my computer.  I'm disappointed with that.  Any fix for it?
