Hi there @Malllee, welcome aboard to our Community. Yes, note that the time is managed in a different way, in comparison to a watch or even your iPhone's clock.
In other words this is because the time is manged by your local timezone configuration. If you set Automatic Timezone on your Fitbit app, the time will be managed by your network provider.
There is a reason for this and is because your tracker reset all your stats back to zero exactly at midnight, time that is controlled by the timezone and if your tracker cannot detect that your timezone is properly configured, it will carry over your total amount steps through the next day.
