Did you mean:

suddenly getting inflated calorie burned counts

to start, yes, I know that the tracker counts calories burned by BMR, that is not my issue.

I am using the Mobile Track with the iOS app. and the issue is showing up on the web site dashboard as well - I am unsure where the problem is originating, I check and log on my phone, and rarely go to the web site.

a few days ago I noticed that I had suddenly received a bunch of "bonus" burned calories for days that had already passed.  I didn't have any screen shots, because I wasn't expecting any problems, but I started taking some just to be sure ever since, and It happened again.

On Tuesday (the 16th) I originally burned 2,282 Calories

(screen shots taken Wednesday17 th)

this afternoon (Saturay the 20th) this has inflated to 3,222.

similar inflation has also occurred for Wednesday, and Thursday, but not for Friday or today.

as far as I can tell my actual activity and caloric intake records have not changed.

I noticed the discrepancy both times after taking a walk, but I don't know why that would effect old established records. (I also log my weight every morning, and this doesn't seem to be related as this is only the second time the inflation has occured)

neither closing and re-opening the app, nor logging off and logging back in (on both site and app) have helped

this happened again tonight, I don't have any screen shots, because it had been behaving for so long an I have better uses for my phone memory.

but it's essentially the same thing - the base bmr seems to be inflated, throwing off the day's calorie burned count.

I did notice this time that I had a sync:null error at the top of my app dashboard. and I assume it's related.  is there any reason why I would be getting such an error and why it would be causing inflated stats?

aaaand it happened again today, I don't know if it's related to another problem that happened around the same time or not, (https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Activity-calories-block-disapeared/m-p/1237839) but this is getting really annoying and making the fitbit app not terribly useful to me because I can no longer go back and track progress or compared days.

does anyone have Any idea what is going on here and how to stop it, or even better go back and fix the days that have gotten screwed up?

i'm starting to feel very frustrated.
