switching between trackers

I am FRUSTRATED!  I use a fitbit flex and charge.  I go between the two for a variety of reasons and during the majority of the day I am sporting the flex.  When I came home tonight I had 12,945 steps.  I synced my flex, placed it in the bathroom, closed the door, closed bedroom door, and synced the charge so that it would update with my alarm set for the morning. But what do my wondering eyes do appear!?  ONLY 6,155 STEPS!!?!?!  I ended up adding them in manually because they would not reappear but I am very frustrated as I am in a StepBet that syncs my data for $$.  Also, I am  a part of a workweek hustle that said "Joanna hit her step goal" (which is 12,871).  Anyways, is anyone else having this issue?  Or anyway to avoid itt?  I've been using two trackers for about 3 weeks now and this has happened three out of the last four days but never before then.  For now I have removed the charge and I will just wear the flex.  Thanks!

this is happening to me as well... I have no answer...I wear my flex to work, meet my step goal, then come home and it syncs to my new Alta. It erases my whole day on the flex so both trackers are both the same which is hardly any steps since the Alta hasn't left the house....grrr

So far, switching between 3-4 trackers without syncing, Fitbit suggests a sync, I have not lost more than a few say 20 steps.. I assume this is from when one as steps detected by multiple trackers.. That said I've also had days where the steps where not properly combined until 3-6 hours later, but show almost immediately in the web based dashboard at fitbit.com.

My suggestion would be to remove manual log and check, then check the web based dashboard.

On an unrelated subject, I've had days that sleep was not recorded on the app for 6+ hours, but showed on e web interface.

@jrf522 - This has happened to me as well. I found a work around that is more work, but it keeps my data accurate.

 - Sync Fitbit device #1 (the one you are currently wearing). Then in your app, under Account, select Remove this device.

 - Bring out Fitbit device #2. In your app, under account, select Set Up Device. Once set up, it will reflext the stats you just synced from device #1.

To switch back, repeat the steps but in reverse.

I know this solution is not perfect. It takes a couple minutes each time you want to switch devices. But it keeps all my data accurate 100% of the time.

Hope this helps.
