watch not connecting

hello,

I have an iPhone and my watch stopped receiving the notifications after the update to IOS 13. I did everything Fitbit told me too and even set up as a new device but now my watch won’t even sync to my phone. Could I still exchange my watch for a new one? Or possibly return it?

I've had it for less than a year.

Hello @MarissaCR

Im sorry to see your having both a syncing problem as well as a problem getting your notifications. My suggestion would be to just start out with a fresh Fitbit App. I really believe it will help you. After you do a fresh Fitbit App install I’m also going to provide instructions on how to properly set up your device to get your notifications. So let’s start with the fresh install. You will not lose your data doing this. Here’s how to get a Fresh Fitbit App install:

uninstall the Fitbit app then shut down your device, wait 1-2 mins then restart your device. Once your device is fully loaded then head to the App Store and download the Fitbit app. Once it’s downloaded just sign in as you normally would with your email address and password. Don’t touch anything and wait for your Bluetooth to prompt you. (It doesn’t take too long) When you see the Bluetooth prompts to pair of course say “Always”.

Hopefully now you are syncing correctly now that your Fitbit App has been reinstalled. Now let’s make sure your notifications are set up properly. Do this:

First open your Fitbit app

Tap your profile picture in upper left

scroll down to the name of your Fitbit and tap it (It’s located just under “My Family”

scroll down and tap notifications

enable the notifications you want in green

now simply tap “today” at the bottom of your screen to get back to the main page

Now lets make sure your iOS device is set up correctly:

go to:

device iOS settings>location services >Fitbit>Always on

also Go to:

iOS setting>Fitbit>Location>Always on

also go to:

iOS settings >notifications >messages>Select always under show previews

Now Go to your Bluetooth:

  1. Tap the "i" icon next to the name of your Fitbit device
  2. Turn on the Share System Notifications.

😃please get back to me to let me know if this solves your syncing and notifications issue.

Hey

thank you for responding,

but I tried it and my watch still hasn’t worked. I haven’t been able to use it in over 2 months. I’m wondering if I could maybe exchange it or   Return it. I have had less then a year
