Ace 2 firmware update issue

Hi guys, 

got 2 X Fitbit ace2 for my two boys for their birthday yesterday and successfully connected the device to the Fitbit app on an iPad. However, it insists that we upgrade the device; however, the upgrade never gets past 6%.

 

what is the best way to get the fitbit working and firmware update.  I am seeing here on the forum that Fitbit ACE2 doesn't work with ipad is that a for sure conclusion ?

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the difficulty you're experiencing with updating the Ace 2 firmware. Thank you for providing the additional details, I understand your concern and I am here to help. Please be sure to have the Ace 2 attached to the charger while updating. You can find the instructions to update the Ace 2 at How do I update my Fitbit device? If you run into any trouble updating your Ace 2 please follow these troubleshooting tips.
