Ace 2 strap failure and tracker falling out

Is the Ace 2 strap fit for purpose? There seem to be numerous reported issues on this forum.

We have had 2no strap issues both within 3-4months of purchase resulting in the loss of the Ace 2 tracker.
Fitbit do not want to recognise our issues and have not offered to help either with warranty replacement or even a good will gesture which is hugely disappointing.
It’s a good product but clearly has a significant design issue.
