Ace 3 Several Issues

My child’s Ace 3 is having several issues. 
1. When going into the timer and/or alarm app, we cannot get out of the app. Have tried everything. 

2. The battery used to last at least 7 days and out of no where we are having to charge it every 12 hours. 

3. once the battery is fully charged it shows that it needs a software up, which we do but then all the issues we are having start all over. 

Any help and/or tips are greatly appreciated. My kids love their Fitbits!

Thank you for providing the details regarding the inconveniences with Ace 3. 

Please confirm that you perform a restart as indicated here: 

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  3. Press and hold the button or buttons on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

In addition please try to change the clock face as indicated here: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

Thank you so much for your response! 

After following the directions on how to reset the Ace 3, we are not getting a smile icon at. I have tried to reset from charging it on our computer and a charging block, neither will work. 

We were able to change the clock however if we do into an app we cannot get out of the app. 

what do you suggest? Thank you!
