Ace 3 pairing setup stuck

I’ve been trying to setup my kids’ new Ace 3. I clicked the ace 3 to pair and then got to the statement that I have to click “agree” on and then I continually get an error message that states “something went wrong”. 

I tried to reboot my iPhone. I tried a different iPhone to no avail. App is updated , blue tooth is on. I tried two separate gmail addresses. Watch has never been paired before and just states that that app needs to be downloaded but I can’t even get to the pairing stage .
