App closes when trying to set up Ace 2

Recently purchased a second ACE 2 for my son. Signed up for a new account to allow for another ACE 2 to be used. Signed up for family account. Added my son it. Went to switch to child view to complete set up and my app closes every time and makes me log back in again. Did not have this issue with my daughters ACE 2. My app is up to date and have even removed and reinstalled it. Any tips to get the ACE 2 set up?

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I recommend doing the following:

 

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Verify if your phone is up-to-date.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.
  6. Confirm the steps to set up the Ace 2 tracker at How do I set up Fitbit Ace devices? 

If you continue experiencing difficulties, please let me know the model of your phone and the operating system. I will be glad to investigate further.

Other users are reporting an app crash when switching to the family account. 

No one has mentioned what platform the phone runs, iOS or android?
