Confusion with setting up Ace 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve had a Fitbit Alta HR for years and still use it. I have an iPhone and the iPhone app. My son was given an Ace2 for his birthday and I went into the app on my phone and set up a family account. I set up his device. He doesn’t have his own phone so I set it up to see the data on my phone. But now my app seems to think my phone is my son. It refers to him as “you”. All my info from my own Fitbit has disappeared. When I click on my name it seems to think that I am his friend. I read one post on here which suggested going onto his name and then “switching to kid view” but I can’t even see that as an option. Another post suggesting I log out of the app and restart this whole sorry process but I can’t even see a log out option. Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SH1239.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the details of the difficulty you're experiencing with setting up your son's Ace 2 tracker. Thanks for trying to resolve this and I am here to help. I recommend checking if the app is in kid view. You can return to your Fitbit account by doing the following:

  1. Tap the Today tab

, and tap the profile picture in the top left corner.
  2. Tap Switch to Parent View, and confirm.
  3. When prompted, enter your password.

You can switch to kid view by following these steps:

  1. Tap the Today tab, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap My Family.
  3. Under your child’s name, tap Switch to Kid View.
