Through Google I ended up on fitbitstore.us which I thought was the actual fitbit site. I ordered 2 fitbit ace 2s, but became suspicious when I didn't get a confirmation and then couldn't create an account on site. They did charge me through paypal which listed the items (but uses a personal gmail account with a Chinese name). But have otherwise no idea if the order is being processed. This was 3 days ago and I am trying to figure out if I ended up getting scammed and should begin the process of contesting charge.

The Paypal account addressee Helenlulliel(?) just provided a tracking number on 6/2 with information that the item was delivered on 5/20. I spoke to UPS who would only confirm they could not talk to me because I was not the customer who received the item. I explained that was the point, I was a victim of fraud and just needed confirmation in an email that I was not the recipient.
I asked for a manager. He waited on hold for an hour while we conference called my credit card company. He verified that the package was not sent to me. My credit card company added it to the investigation report and they will make a ruling within 10 days.
But I do need to provide a written dispute with all the information. I have provided this forum in the dispute. So hang in there guys, if you want to put in 2-3 hours of your time, you might be refunde

I put in a dispute with my credit card company and am waiting to hear back. My last contact with PayPay I included a link to this board to show it was happening to a lot of us. That was when I was told she would get my case reopened and would send a copy of our chat to the "panel" and I would hear back from them. That was over a week ago. crickets!

I am too duped by this website. They sent me the tracking information only after I submitted the dispute claim with PayPal. I messaged them to cancel my order initially after seeing the merchant information on PayPal showing some weird email address and realizing they scammed me. No response from the website. I waited for 2 weeks and after it has become clear I wouldn't be getting the item, I contacted PayPal for dispute and only then did I receive the tracking information saying the item was delivered like a week ago. I don't know how they do this but they are professional scammer for sure. I don't know if my American Express would do anything for me but I sure will try. Sigh.. I guess I should've been more careful...

American Express resolved my dispute claim in my favor in less than 1 hour.
Here was their response:
As a result of our investigation, we have credited your account. This adjustment can be found on an upcoming statement. This credit amount may change, or you may be rebilled, if the business contacts us and provides valid support.

Thank you for your email. I am still trying. Pay Pal and UPS still will not
provide documents and explanation of why they paid someone else instead of
Fitbit.usa Crazy. As soon as settled I will close pay pal account.Pay Pal
continues to allow this fake site advertise. No excuse! Pay Pal should shut
it down.
Stop letting people charge thru pay pal. This is ridiculous. I charged on
my pay pal credit card and they will not respond except dispute closed.
Future Amazon etc never pay pal again. Jennifer

I also have a dispute started. Same deal. Paypal reached out to Trang Duong via a gmail account - The gmail account replies to Paypal with a UPS tracking # - the tracking number reads delivered 5/20/2020 and there are some details on the POD (proof of delivery) driver note reads "left on Deck" and the weight of the package was 15.10 LBS (2 fitbits do not weigh 15LBS) and we don't have deck. Next I open a lost item claim with UPS, waited a week or so and checked the status of my claim. It reads closed, package delivered ... Nuh uh!
Today I call UPS. UPS can't give me the exact address the tracking number was associated with, but did confirm it was delivered to the same city as my Paypal receipt reads, but a different name and street address.
I've reopened my dispute with PayPal - from what I'm reading I should open a dispute with my bank as well?

@sheridan.robin please come back and edit your post. You have your email address (or someone's) on there and this is a public forum. Sure hope you get a good outcome with Paypal. Yes, get with your bank and Paypal both - do all you can. I still think someone ought to be telling the media in their area so others aren't scammed. You can be sure Fitbit products aren't the only things people are wanting to get with an unbelievable discount.

@sheridan.robin glad you were able to come back and edit. Don't feel bad about the scam, I doubt there are many who haven't been taken in some scheme over the years, offline and online! With limited shopping in person these days, many of us are looking online and these scammers are taking advantage of it.

it took multiple messages. I also proved to them that the package weight was off . A fit bit ionic in a package does not weigh 2.8 lbs. UPS eventually helped PayPal after Discover card also got involved.
Call your credit card company. That will move things along.
I won my case

We are also a victim of the same fake website.... it was supposed to be my Mother’s Day gift. Credit card company is showing this tracking number as delivered but a ring doorbell doesn’t shoe anybody at my door at that time. PayPal was closed due to Covid when I called so have to try again. So frustrating!
update:
UPS gave me the address it was sent to and its about 12 minutes from my house but same zip code. I have my credit card company contacting UPS for the proof now. Hoping I finally get the money back.

My credit card company ruled in the merchants favor! Tracking number was not to me. Next step arbitration. Will now use my Citibank card once per year for $1, and reverted to paper statements so it will cost them more in lost sales and paperwork than my $129! SHAME on Citibank!

I lost my case with CITIbank! I had UPS on the phone with them in a conference call! They had the website addresses related to this fraud!

@SueFromRi so sorry to hear that. These scammers have a way of making themselves seem legitimate to even the banks and delivery people. If you're able, seriously consider talking to your local news station - it can't hurt, but bringing some attention to the matter would help.
