Hi @LucaBavetta, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about your steps being tracked accurately. Your tracker is a motion sensor on your wrist and I recommend confirming the following are correct in the Fitbit app:

1. Your wrist setting - please check if you have the "Non-dominant" wrist setting, it increases the sensitivity of step counting and should reduce any under counting of steps.

2. Your height (For more information, see How do I manage my Fitbit profile?)

Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, see How do I measure and adjust stride length for my Fitbit device?

Sometimes, when you start walking, your steps may not update on your device right away. After about 10-15 continuous steps, you'll notice the steps catch up and start updating in real time with each step you take.

For more information about the accuracy of the Fitbit devices, please see here

I'll be around if you need further help!

Thanks for the help @LiliyaFitbit

When you said non dominant did you mean make sure it is set on the dominant hand (I'm right handed so it needs to be on right hand ??

Hi @LucaBavetta, thank you for your reply.

Thank you for letting me know that you're right handed. In order to increases the sensitivity of step counting, I recommend changing the wrist setting to "Non-dominant", not "Dominant".

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around!

Thank you for the update @LucaBavetta.

You can change your wrist setting in the app by doing the following:

Tap the Today tab User-added image, and tap your profile picture. Your device is listed at the top. Tap your device image to open your device settings and find the wrist setting.

Let me know how it goes! Robot Happy

I am sorry to hear the issue persists. Fitbit doesn't have any physical repair centers that can accommodate servicing or repairing your device, however I've sent your information to the Customer Support team so they can get in touch with you and provide further assistance. You should be getting a reply soon.
