The date and time on my daughter’s Fitbit is not the same as the current date and time.  I am not sure as to how I can fix this problem?

@Stiner55 Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your daughter's Ace is not showing the correct time.

In order to fix this issue, restart her Ace as described in this help article. After this, make sure that the device you sync her Fitbit with, has the correct time as well and sync the Ace as usual and see if the issue gets corrected.

@KylieJosephson Thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your daughter's Ace is not showing the correct time and date either, even though you have restarted it.

Please try setting it up from scratch and see if the time and date get corrected. Please make sure that the phone that you use to set it up also has the correct time and date.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

The watch has sync, a restart and email verification was required. Thank you.

First off, I must say i really dislike the Fitbit Ace product and dealing with them has been a terrible experience.  My children like them but they aren't the ones troubleshooting them.  I have had to setup 2 Ace on a new account with some sort of children's sub accounts.  Neither kids' Fitbit has the correct time nor date.

I have tried restarting, it did not work following these instructions - https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186/?l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1.  What is the next step other than "setting it up from scratch" are there instructions somewhere on how to do this as I did not keep the instructions.

@taktiq I noticed that you joined our Fitbit Community recently. Welcome aboard! I'm sorry to hear that your children Ace trackers are not showing the correct time and date. I appreciate your feedback and time spent in trying the restart process before contacting our forums.

Before proceeding accordingly, I'd just like to know if the phone that you sync their Ace trackers with, has the correct time and date since the trackers adopt the time of the phone they're being synced with.

Looking forward to your response! 😀

How many people have ever answered that question with a no?  I think my kids are fine with out of date information since this is just proving to be a waste of more time.

I’m also having the same problem with my daughters fit bit.  I just can’t get it to show the right time.  It’s 12 hours behind. I’ve deleted it and started again. I cannot get it to reboot at all. At help much appreciated as it’s useless without the right time especially when I’m trying to monitor her sleep!

I am having the same issue and it's SO frustrating.

My twins received theirs for the birthday last week and I'm regretting it. The app is so difficult to navigate and I'm still yet to work out how to switch between the two on there. The 'sync' button never works and now, they randomly decide to change the times and even though they are set up with the same device, they have different times to one another.

FIX this. I spent a lot of money on your product and customers shouldn't have to 'start from scratch'. Your company should have a solution to the problem other than restarting the process every time the time is incorrect.

I’m having the same problem. Wrong time and it will not reboot.

Me too. The ace uses my app but it's showing as 1 hour 2 mins ahead of the correct time. She relies on it at school for getting to her music lesson on time and she's upset she may miss her lesson tomorrow.  Seems like no one with Fitbit willing to fix this.

same problem, tried everything. ready to bin it.

incidently the advanced settings keep setting the time zone to nicosia instead of GMT. we were in cyprus recently.

However, whether I set it to automatic timezone (initially shows london) or manual timezone and select GMT. once out of the menu and sync'd , the moment I go back into the menu, its selected nicosia again.

reset, synced, setup account again, etc etc

Steps to correct

I had this issue for ace 2 when I moved from PA to TEXAS

1 - Dlink watch and kid profile

2- open kid profile

3- switch to parent mode

4- set the location of the profile

5- link ace 2

sync and you are done

I bought a fit bit versa for my wife and the battery only lasts 3/4 days max and the at not even using any apps on it that just for walking  around the house.

I bought a Fitbit ace 2 for my son and I’m having the same issues with it re time and date being wrong.

I can honestly say that my experience with Fitbit from a brand POV is the worst I’ve had. The products simply do not work and are not fit for purpose.

I still can’t get my date and time corrected. It’s a pile of expensive junk.

Hi guys, don't know if this will help anyone but I have been having the same issue with my daughter's fitbit ace and been trying things to fix it. Today I switched to the child's profile on the app and then synced the watch. The time has corrected itself and is working properly. Hope this helps.

why does the kids Fitbit Ace date/time not keep accurate time?  I have to correct the date/time every few months...why can't it just keep accurate time like all the other watches out there?  is there something inherently wrong with this device?  did i get a lemon or it appears number of others are having the same issue.
