Say I buy a 2nd hand fitbit from fleabay. Does the seller need to unlink it from their account before I am able to link it to mine? If they don't, would I encounter issues?

Hi @SunsetRunner  in a perfect world, the seller would remove the Fitbit from their device and from their account. There have been many people who purchased second hand from eBay only to discover the Fitbit has problems. If the battery has been dead for any length of time, it often doesn't revive. If the person didn't protect it in shipping, it could get damaged. Many times the pictures they show on the listing is not the actual Fitbit they are selling. The best thing to do if you're buying there is to be sure you can return it. The Alta HR is a sweet little Fitbit and I'm wearing mine now. The Inspire series is the latest version, as the Alta series was retired. You might want to check sales (Father's Day is coming up) and see if the sales price and new warranty is better than buying it from eBay. Whatever you do, we're here for you.
