Active minutes & calories showing too high

The last couple of days, the active minutes on Alta HR are showing way higher than they should be. I've been sitting at a desk most of the day and my active minutes are showing as 150 (LOL), and my calories are showing higher too. Is there somethtng in the settings I need to change or any other ideas of what is going on here? I did do a reboot yesterday, but it didn't help.

This is also happening to me. It showed 157 active minutes at 12am whilst I was sleeping (definitely not correct) and my calorie burn is also incorrect. Additionally my sleep activity has stopped only counts the time I was asleep. This started about 2 days ago.

Now mine needs to be restarted 2-3 times a day. Sometimes things seem to track okay, but then it dies. Not impressed that their tech support can't help, and really not impressed that this is basically dead after 17 months of use!

So what is the answer - how do we fix this issue?

Welp, I had to buy a new one. The warranty was up on the one that stopped functioning properly. It was only 16-17 months old. I'm really not impressed. When this new one breaks, I'll be buying the Apple one. I just didn't want to spend the $$ this time.

This is happening to me too!  It seems to be a system problem vs a device problem.  I hope they fix it soon.  It is complicating my accurate tracking.

Was there ever a solution identified? Mine has been doing this for a few days now as well.

Greetings!
No solution by Fitbit has been posted.  I believe the fact Google purchased Fitbit, that they are most likely going through a huge restructuring.  I don't expect them to fix any existing problems on "old" products in the line.  Most likely, they will put their efforts into developing new products and retiring the older ones.  I have given up on a fix (now it no longer gives a sleep score either), I recently ordered a Fitbit Inspire HR.
Good luck!

This suddenly started on the 10th August. One night I had exercised for over 4 hours!! Everything had gone haywire - my daughter got some of it sorted and it is better but still not as it was. My sleep is now a blue blank bar with a few lines and no sleep score. Am fed up with it.

No, no resolution reported. You pretty much have to stop using it and buy a new device.

Yup. I was fed up too, and begrudgingly bought a new device.
