Is it possible to get a replacement screen for the Alta HR or get it repaired? Mine has a crack running from top to bottom although I have not knocked it against anything or dropped it. I'm really disappointed as it is less than 2 years old.
They are the worst! Not honoring their 1 year warranty at 6 months! They should remove the product from the market until they correct this problem. Or, refund your .money. I know I won't buy another of their products.
They have discontinued the Alta HR. I agree, they should refund it. Quality customer service is important for a company to prosper. A good reputation is key to success.
I had the Alta HR for less than six months when my screen cracked. It's still under warranty, but they no only offered me a discount on a new one too. They did replace the band that was defective. 😞
That's outrageous! Yours has broken within the warranty period and should be replaced. If you take it back to the shop where you bought it, they should replace it for you. Good luck!
I too have a crack top to bottom. More than 1 yr old but less than 2. Not sure how or when I got it - it suddenly appeared. I know it was definitely not a significant blow to my wrist to have caused it. Pretty primitive but I have placed clear tape over the screen especially if increased risk of moisture. (i.e. walking in the rain)
They said it was too late to replace mine. I haven’t put tape on it. So far it’s not getting worse. I want to buy a new one, but I haven’t found one I like and I hate the plastic wrist straps, so will have to buy new ones.
Where did you get the screen protectors from? Mines cracked too same thing It ws on charge and I picked it up to put back on and noticed the crack. Mines older than 2 years I think so sounds like it won't get replaced or fixed. Delaying the inevitable having to buy a new one if a screen protector will help for a bit I'll try it.
I bought it on Amazon but I don’t use it any more. It make the screen cloudy with the added plastic. Someone in the post said that they use tape and replace it when needed.
I got mine from Amazon - search for Fitbit Alta HR screen protector including the words HD/Durable/Scratchproof and Explosionproof (Fitbit will not allow me to post the name of the manufacturer for some bizarre reason) and they should come up. Mine came as a pack of 4 protectors - you do need to replace them every few months as they lose their stickiness and peel off. But it seems to help protect it from scratches and so far no crack has appeared again.
