My Alta HR doesn’t record all of my exercise sessions. I mainly walk outside or on a treadmill. The recordings are very random. Have walked three days this week and only one was picked up on my log. Recorded only one last week. This has been happening for about 2 months. It is 2 years old and seems to work fine otherwise.
There should not be a problem with walking outside. How ever your Alta HE is not suppose to be able to track a treadmill walk.
Best AnswerI do not have the Inspire, I have the Alta HR. And until about a month ago my Alta HR always recorded treadmill walking. I have had it over two years and just now having this issue
Sorry I guess I got misdirected. Your Alta HR does not have the option to auto detect a treadmill run or walk. No Fitbit model has this option.
It may be possible, but not expected, for the treadmill to show up as a walk.
Here is a list, from the settings, of the auto recognizable exercises.
Best AnswerI think you are incorrect. Whether you walk inside (treadmill), outside, climb stairs, walk in place, the fitbit logs steps and therefore can detect a walk, especially if your heart rate increases while you engage in the activity. I've never had a problem with any fitbit I've ever had, not detecting any kind of walk that I do - inside or outside

Best AnswerI hear you. I contacted Fitbit on this, and all they could tell me is I need a new fitbit! But everything else works fine.

Best AnswerThe screen shot I posted above, is the same setting screen you can get to in your Fitbit app. This is the list of exercises that Fitbit has programmed to auto detect.
There is no way that a walk in the treadmill will ever be recorded a a treadmill activity. It may have been detected as a walk, but most users say no it does not.
