Alta HR not connecting

I was given a fitbit Alta HR a few years ago, at that time I had a Moto G mobile. It worked fine, wonderful, I would say. I was very happy about it until my phone broke. So it was time to get a new phone, I got a Huawei P Smart, (Android version older than 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.2), however it is not one of your supported phones.

I tried to configure my fitbit device with no success, so I paired it with my laptop (bought in 2010). Not a problem at that time.

However, I stopped using the fitbit device due to the lack of syncing with my phone. That put me off. Today, due to other circumstances, I was pushed again to start tracking my steps so I got my fitbit, I still have the same old laptop and the Huawei. The alta HR did not sync with the phone or laptop, so I tried following your advice steps and remove it and then add it again, but somehow I can't.

I tried on the phone several times, follow the steps, introduced the code that appears on the Alta HR, but it never connects.

However, when I tried on the laptop it says that my other device, the fitbit one, needs to have the bluetooth on or I need to buy a dongle. I don't remember how I did it the other times, but no dongle was needed and there is no way that I can turn on the bluetooth on the Alta HR as there is no button.

My guess is that the Alta HR is no longer supported on your app, but that's my guess, even if it appears listed.

Any advice?

The Alta HR is still supported.

Is your Android at least on version 6? You mention the unsupported version 4.4.

Considering the fact that the Huawei P Smart is not listed, I should be able to get it working on my old laptop, which is not the case.
