Alta HR subtracting steps when syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Alta HR has begun reducing my step count and unmarking active hours from one sync to the next. Today, I synced at 6:41 PM with a step count of 12,845 and 8 active hours. I synced again at 6:56 PM and the step count went down to 12,581 and 7 active hours.

Have you contacted Fitbit support? Mine doesn’t detect my activity and when I log my activity Fitbit deducts my step. Support team isn’t being helpful and is telling me to reduce my minimum activity setting

Mine is doing the same thing & nothing I do fixes it. Support isn't any help & I am BEYOND frustrated. If anyone gets this issue fixed PLEASE 🙏🏼 post.

We all deserve better than this. 🙂

There doesn’t seem to be an answer from anyone to the earlier posts about this issue.  It is disheartening to think it has affected users since last spring with no resolution.  I am very frustrated with frequent and varied issues I have had with syncing Fitbit devices.

I am shopping other options now.  I loved my Fitbit when I started 5 years ago because it was small and unobtrusive and handled the basics well.  I’m on my third device, however, and feel I may have to upgrade to a better system even though it means a bigger device.  Support at Fitbit is poor.

Count me in your crew too— my Alta hr just dropped 2,000 of my daily steps. Happened when adding an exercise that it failed to auto detect.

I’ve completely given up. Support team says to just set to the minimal time for the device to detect activity, but even then my activity was not detected. Manually logging a 3km walk reduced my steps, and reported that I only walked 1 during that time which kind of makes sense when the device has deducted my steps

Yeah it’s been completely erasing my active minutes and support told me to hit the button on my charger. There isn’t a button. Now I can’t get any other help.

Don’t worry; it doesn’t help anyway. It resets the device, but doesn’t give you back your minutes.
