It’s been a few months since I last used my Alta HR and I guess in that time, a firmware update was sent out. I tried plugging it in to charge today and all I get is a battery symbol with an exclamation mark and a series of letters and numbers. I’ve looked through forums and tried disconnecting it and then setting it up as a new device, restarting it, etc. Any further suggestions would greatly appreciated.

Hi there @amrob54, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Alta HR before posting here.
I agree with @NellyG, I think the issue is with the battery not being charged. Did you feel a vibration when trying the restart or charging your Fitbit? If you didn't, please try the steps below:

Hi @amrob54 My guess is that the battery is the problem. Lithium ion batteries dont like to be left with no charge, especially when they are getting a bit older. My guess is that the battery died when you weren't using it and it ran flat. If this is the case there is nothing you can do except to try restarting it several times. If that doesn't help then it is likely dead. Sorry.
