I’ve owned a Fitbit Alta HR for three years and the band breaks every year, in fact my Alta has also been replaced.
Customer Service is appalling and do not want to help, they just say it’s out of warranty. The band broke within months of purchasing it brand new. If you read the forum this a problem for many people but still Fitbit will not acknowledge this or do anything about it. I’ve just recommended that my sister purchased a Apple Watch because of Fitbit appalling quality product and their customer services are the same . They just want you to purchase another band through them,why they can possibly think anyone would want to do this after paying for a faulty goods in the first place is beyond comprehension.
KEEP SENDING OUT BANDS THAT BREAK WITHIN THE YEAR IS NOT THE ANSWER FITBIT. WE HAVE ALL PAID OVER A HUNDRED POUNDS FOR THIS PRODUCT!!!

I don't even see Alta HR bands in the Fitbit Store, but on Amazon you can get 4 third-party band for $8.00 - one set should last you quite a while.
