Alta active minutes and exercise issues

I recently started using the Fitbit Alta to track exercise. I done a series of YouTube workout videos for 40 minutes but my Fitbit still says I have 0 active minutes and didn't automatically log the exercise. Looking through forums I've tried restarting it but that hasn't worked yet.

Thanks for troubleshooting this exercise issue. Level of intensity helps to determine the number of active minutes you earn for an activity. Were you constant in those 40 minutes? Also, SmartTrack recognizes an exercise that lasts at least 15 minutes. If your activities aren't recognized, lower the auto-exercise recognition setting to 10 minutes.
