My Alta has a full charge and won’t stay on. I’ve restarted it twice and it won’t stop turning off. Is there anything else I can try?

My Alta has the same problem.  I noticed it the first time two days ago.  I charged it up, and for two days it was fine.  Then today, same problem.  I have gone through the reset and am letting it charge back up.  But, if it happens again, then what?

My alta stopped working today. It fully charges and I've tried resetting it a few times. Seems to reset but once I unplug it it stops lighting up at all. Help please!

Is there an alternative restart method?  My daughters Fitbit Alta charger was lost and we purchased one from Amazon that does not have the button on the end of the charging cable unfortunately. 🙄

Same symptoms for my alta HR. Lost life to ionic and alta hr within days of each other. Contacted support. blah blah blah no warranty blah blah blah. Total crap. Very disappointed. For whomever reads this - get ready to buy a new device every two years. That's their business plan. Good luck.

My Alta HR won't stay on. I've plugged it in and restarted four or five times - it vibrates, turns on and every charged to 100%. But when I unplug it, it turns off. I contacted customer service but since it is out of warranty, no help. Can someone suggest something else? I really don't want to replace it.

I have the same issue. It's very frustrating. I tried resetting many times and the issue continued. It's less than a year old. I will likely not buy a Fitbit again. It is just a waste of money.

hello all - I’m experiencing the same thing. Loved my first alta so i ordered another about 2 1/2 months ago from Amazon. Just finally opened it yesterday (purchased it new in the box) charged it, set it up and now it won’t stay on after I disconnect it from the charger. The battery is full, I’ve done the restart and still I can’t see anything a minute or so after I remove it from the charger. I’ve removed and reinstalled, iI’ve made sure my fitbit software is up to date, and still no luck. What should I do? Is it still under warranty if not purchased directly from fitbit? Thank you!!

I was having the same problem and contacted Fitbit support. Their answer was "It's out of warranty, we can offer you a discount on a new one." If planned obsolescence is part of the Fitbit business strategy, I will certainly never, EVER buy another one. Why would a $150 device last for less than 3 years?

Hey, my Fitbit Alta is having this exact problem where it's fully charged and only turns on when I unplug or plug it in. I've read through theses comments and tried restarting it 3 times and it still won't work. I really don't want to buy a new one, I love my Alta. Is there anything else I can do?
