Hi I just reseted my Fitbit Alta and it’s went blank as soon as I put it on my wrist. I don’t understand why this keeps happening, but keep trying to reboot it every time is not solving the problem. I haven’t changed anything with the settings nor have I got it wet so I don’t understand why but something is causing it to keep on doing this but I don’t know what. I really hope your team of experts can solve this mystery as to why I lot of people’s Fitbit alta’s keep on going blank for because rebooting is not helping to resolve it.

same here. I’ve had mine for about 1 year. Randomly turns off. The only way to turn it back on is to put on charger. It happens once every 1-2 weeks. I have not gotten it wet and I clean it weekly. It’s a small nuisance so I never complained thinking it was just mine.

Hi,
exactly the same thing is happening to mine and I've only had it since May 2019! It turns itself off randomly, then I put it on charge even though it is 75% already charged and then it starts to work again. This has been happening for about 4 weeks. Now the screen brightness is so dim I can hardly see it.

Me too. I just got it for Christmas. It worked great the first few days. I can leave it charging for hours, put it on & it works great for a few hours then turns off. Only way to turn it back on is to plug it in again. It's not helping me this way.

My Fitbit Alta has gone blank too. It will not charge, and has been blank all day long now. I cannot reset or restart it either. I have ordered a new charging cable with the hopes that will fix the issue. If the new charging cable does not work, I guess I will trash it and just give up. I like this Fitbit too. Why do these devices have so many issues?

Has anyone heard anything about this issue?

I have the new charging cables but now the charge is going down rather than up? It was at 80% now it is at 70%? What is going on with this device? I would hate to give up on it.

My Fitbit alta is showing the same problems. I was alerted that I got my 10,000 steps this afternoon while working in the yard and instantly the watch/fitbit would not register. Had looked at it earlier in the day and I was at 60%. This is the fourth time this has happened in the last month. Also rebooted the alta this month. Please help for I love my Fitbit Alta!

Ok I think I may have a solution. My Fitbit Alta has always never held a proper charge and would always shut off at 50-60%, forcing me to plug it back in to reboot. Since day 1 I have charged it on an aftermarket ac adapter. A few weeks ago I was at work and didn’t have adapter when it happened so I plugged into my computer. It charged fully and I went about my day. The Fitbit stayed on all the way to 5% battery life, almost two weeks later! I charged again on my computer at home and have not had any issues. I believe the problem was my charger adapter. It’s kind of the same thing buying a cheap aftermarket adapter for our phones...the charge is just not the same. I hope you guys will try this and hopefully have as good of luck as me!
