Can only see www.fitbit.com/setup on Alta HR

I have already pressed the button three times within eight seconds several times - HELP!  I don't want to have to return this!!

@Maryann1226, you must complete the app setup procedures in order to get your tracker to remove that link and make the display available.  In the Fitbit app open the Account screen and select Set Up a Device, and follow the on-screen instructions.  Ensure the tracker is fully charged before starting the setup process.

@AltaHRstart, restarting your Alta HR will not clear the fitbit.com/setup message - you must complete the set procedures in order to clear that and make the display available.  In the Fitbit app, you need to open the Account screen and select Set Up a Device in order to begin the setup process, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.  Once that setup is completed your Alta HR will not longer show the Fitbit.com/setup message.

Hi @AltaHRstart and welcome to the Community!

@USAF-Larry is correct, you need to finish the setup process in the app before you can get that screen off your tracker.  Just be sure that the battery is fully charged before you start the process.  When the tracker is on the charger, it will tell you that it's ready by sending you a message that says something along the lines of "I'm ready" or "Let's rock!".

I just had the same problem. I realized I was trying to sync the Alta when I should have been doing the Alta HR. Now it synced and got rid of the message to setup.

Me too!  I have been using my FitBit HR alta for nearly two years.   Last night it started scrolling the http://fitbit.com/setup on my screen.  I can't get it to go back to normal.  I checked my app and it shows I am already set up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

I had a friend reset it.  I'm not sure what he did though.  It worked again.  I have since upgraded to a Samsung Active 2.

I ended up calling customer service, and they had me unpair the fitbit with my phone, then pair the fitbit through my app.  Basically resetting the pairing got it working again.

I am having the same problem now. I just received fitbit inspire HR. It is charged at 80% but no luck so far. Im going to wait till charged to 100% and try again, but not looking good right now. Ill try to let you know if the fully charged attempt does work. Phone wont pair with it after downloading app and creating profile. Using a samsung S8 I believe, fairly decent phone anyways.

As mentioned, when fully charged I was able to connect with my phone and the app.

Not sure if anyone still needs help with this, but I managed to get mine to work by going to my phone's bluetooth settings, clicking on Fitbit Alta and then clicking "Forget this Device". Then, I went to the Fitbit app, and tried to pair, and it worked! Basically had to disconnect from my phone's connection and connect through the app.
