I tried adding a new food and Alta HR will not let me add calories. It stays at 0. I tried logging out of app & turning off phone, turning Bluetooth off & on, restarting Fitbit. Nothing works. I have an iPhone 8.

This is a known bug that Fitbit are investigating. Keep an eye on the following thread where they are posting updates:
