Device not counting calories correctly

I have my calorie goal set to 1412. It says 740 calories in and 1136 left.  740 plus 1136 isn't 1412. What's wrong?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared with me. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device are you using to check the Fitbit app? Did you experience this situation in the past or is the first time? How many times you experienced this? In the meantime I receive your answers, please check your main goal settings and follow the next steps:

 

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the OS version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.
