Device not tracking exercise - Active minutes are deleted when manually logging it

My app and Alta HR are up to date. I’ve had this issue for a fortnight now where I won’t take my phone for a run/walk and will log it after the exercise. Even if I exercise for 30-60 minutes, my Fitbit doesn’t automatically recognise it, but when I log it after the exercise, it erases all my active minutes, not just for the exercise but for the day, right to 0 active minutes. Then if I do log the exercise it shows me the heart rate but calories are wrong, I’ve double checked with MapMyRun.

Is there any way to fix this? I don’t want to have to choose between active minutes and calories or days of exercise.

Hi @Lotta1, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delay in responding your post.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared in your post, seems odd that your exercise is not being auto-recognized and that the actives minutes are being erased. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Which mobile device are you using to sync your Alta HR? Which activity are you manually logging and does this occur with other activities too?

In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Fitbit following the steps that are specified on our help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be waiting for your reply.
