My fitbit is not logging all of my activities. It is set to pick up my different types of exercise but some days it picks up nothing and I have to log it manually, other days it will pick up 1 exercise out of 3. It does however pick up my steps. Any advice would be appreciated. I have reset my fitbit but hasn’t made any difference.

Hi @Stellakitty, It's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, welcome back!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for troubleshooting your Alta HR prior to posting. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this inconvenience and how many times since then? Which activities were not tracked? Which mobile device are you using to sync your Fitbit? To learn more about exercise tracking, I recommend you to check: How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device? for more information and details.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Good afternoon
Thank you for responding. I believe I first noticed the issue immediately after Christmas, although it may have been before. I generally do an exercise class every day for between 30 - 45 mins and also at least 10 mins on a treadmill. The problem happens most days with the Fitbit only picking up one activity and sometimes none. For example, today I did a 30 min Zumba class, which it picked up and then at least 10 mins on a cross trainer which it did not pick up. Both activities required my arms to be moving as well as moving up and down.
Another example is on Friday I did a 10 min run on the treadmill and a 45 min Pilates class. The Fitbit picked up my run on the treadmill but rarely picks up Pilates so I entered this manually at which point my run then disappeared. Interestingly exactly the same thing happened to my friend who exercised with me and she is using an iPhone.
On 2 Jan I did a 10 min run on the treadmill, a 30 min circuit class and then another 10 min on the treadmill. I believe it only picked up one run and I had to enter the other exercise manually.
I use a Samsung Galaxy J5 with my Alta HR, but my gym buddy uses an iPhone with her Charge 2 and is having exactly the same issues.
I’ve tried resetting my Fitbit, I’ve tried syncing using my iPad, but nothing seems to help.
Any advice would be very much appreciated
Thank you

Good afternoon. Just to keep you updated.
This morning I started exercise at 9.17am and completed 11 mins on the treadmill. My Fitbit has logged this activity. I then immediately did a circuit training class until 10 am and at 10.02am went back on the treadmill for a further 10mins but my Fitbit has not logged either of these activities.
Is there a problem with the app as I see on other treads people are having similar problems with their Fitbits not syncing with their phones. I’d really appreciate some help please.
Thank you

Good evening, my Fitbit is still not logging correctly. Today I did a 15 min run on the treadmill, I had a brief break, maybe 2 mins then walked on the treadmill again for 10 mins. I then went into a circuit training class for 30 mins. After the class I tried to sync my app and it logged both the treadmill exercise but not the class. I then manually logged the class and the second treadmill exercise disappeared. I am using an android phone but my gym buddy, who uses an iPhone, experienced exactly the same. I’d really appreciate some help as this is becoming really frustrating and annoying.

Having the same issue. I exercise everyday and none of my activities are tracking. I’ve tried all troubleshooting topics and nothing works.
Turned off Bluetooth
Deleted and reinstalled App
Reset 3x
This is my 4th or 5th Alta HR and I’m growing tired of this.I just want it to work as it is supposed to.
Please offer a solution.

Mine is doing the same thing. Hasn't tracked any activities or walking since Feb 22/20. Did you ever find a solution?

No, I’ve had no response. The only way I’ve found around it is to log in using my iPad rather than my android phone but even then it doesn’t always pick up exercise. I’m constantly resetting my Fitbit as now it’s saying no device found but my iPad is recognising it. My friend has had similar problems using an iPhone so I think this is a software issue. Sorry I can’t be more help.
