The screen on my Alta has started turning off, the only way I can get it back on is to plug into the mains. The battery never seems to charge fully. I have reset it several times. Any ideas please

Yes, I would. I am extremely disappointed with Fitbit, and their customer service. I have had my Fitbit for less then 2 years, and I should not being having problems with it. Clearly, after Googling the issue, this is a common problem that seems to be happening to many Fitbit users which means that this is a Fitbit issue.

If you cannot resolve my issue, I believe given that this is clearly a larger issue with Fitbit product, that you would send me a new Fitbit to replace the Fitbit that is having an issue.

I love my Alta but it has not worked since Saturday unless plugged into charger. It shows full battery but when I take it off there is nothing on Alta screen. If so many people are having the same problem with the new update, are Fitbit aware and addressing this?

Same issue here.  Had an Alta that died at the one year mark, right after warranty date expired.  Purchased a new one figuring it was a "fluke".  Second one is now less than 2 years old and same thing.  Although the Fitbit representative was nice, I think it's terrible customer service to simply offer a discount coupon.  I've already purchased the item multiple times, so not looking to spend even more money with a company that clearly doesn't care that their product may be defective.  Won't buy another one!  (Also think it's bad business to simply offer a discount when there are now so many competitor products out there.  Am going to give my business to one of them.)

This is a recurring problem with Alta and Fitbit has offered no viable solution.

Does it eventually start working right again or did you replace yours each time?  I’ve had mine for 3 years so ordered a new one but am wondering if I should just return and find something new.

I'd return it and get something different.  Seems like so many folks are having the same issue.  For the cost, I'd rather put that money towards a product that might have a better result.  I truly feel that this type of device should have a longer life than it does.

Correct.  Their only solution was for me to purchase a new one.  Even with the discount, I'm not willing to continue spending money on their products that won't last.  So frustrating.

Pretty fed up. Alta is less than a year and it’s chronically turning off; won’t reboot; weirdness all around. The battery icon remains in charge mode when unplugged from charger. Any idea how to get this fixed???

Mine is doing the same thing. The display eill only work when it is plugged into the charger. It started a couple if weeks ago. Ive uninstalled & reinstalled, restarted several times and cleaned the contacts to know avail.

I finally went to Fitbit support and they sent me a new ‘pebble’-no charger or band. They said I must have a faulty battery. My defective Fitbit was less than a year old. The new one was shipped very quickly and is working just fine.

I'm glad you got yours resolved. Mine is a couple of years old so pretty sure it's out of warranty. 😔
