My display on my Fitbit Alta which I have had for at least 3 years is fine when I am inside but if I am outside the display is very faint. Could this be because my fitbit is dying? The devise charges fine. This happens no matter how much of a charge I have. If the fitbit is dying is there a way to change the battery?

You left out an important piece of information.  Has it always been hard to read outside or is this something new?  If it has always been this way, I doubt you can blame dying battery.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

No it has not always been hard to read outside . This started probably this last summer if I remember right.
