I had the Charge HR for over a year and then I decided to purchase the Alta HR to track my sleep stages, as I suffer from parasomnia and a REM sleep disorder.
It is great that I can see which stage of sleep I'm in, but I would like to be able to export the sleep data to give to my specialist. Is there any way of doing this? The only data I can download is mins of sleep, mins awake, number of awakenings and time in bed.
This is the same data I get off my Charge HR. So I'm wondering if I can make use of my purchase and download the additional data?

@ToniM Welcome to the Fitbit family! If you buy a Premium Membership you will be able to have a Sleep Report that will give you in-depth analysis of your sleep. You will be able to see a weekly overview, a sleep history, and sleep numbers for any week.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

I have a similar issue. Will a premium membership allow me to track the awake periods in such a way as to know if they are happening at consistently the same approximate times each night?

@Robin3642 Welcome to the Fitbit family! Currently, Fitbit is no longer accepting new Fitbit Premium subscriptions.
However, you can still export your sleep data using the export option on the online dashboard. It looks like this:
Export Data
When you select sleep; it includes data such as time asleep, sleep quality, and time spent in light sleep, deep sleep, and REM sleep depending on your Fitbit device.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes!

This is not at all what my dashboard looks like. There is no option to export data. Would really like to print data to give to my doctor.

@LynneofFL are you looking at the Website Dashboard as in the screen shot above, not the App? If you are looking at the dashboard, what operating system is it? Can you provide a screen shot so someone can point you in the right direction?

Thanks for the export direction, but this does not do what I wanted it to do. I was seeking a way to find out at what times the awake periods were happening, not simply how long they were. I wanted to chart these.

If you go to your app, tap the sleep tile, and tap the line graph you want to look at. On the page that comes up tapthe graph area and a bigger graph display appears. Touch the awake period on the graph you want times for and it will tell you 'awake 8 minutes, 8.25 to 8.34' I dont thi k you can export that data , but you should be able to extract what you want. Let us know how you go.

I can export my sleep data, and view it on my computer. However it does not show REM stages. My friend who also has an Alta HR gets that detail when she looks at the results on her phone. (I use a blackberry and can't sync with it, so am synching to a PC.) I assume my Alta HR is trakcing that level of detail - since hers is. How can I get the detail on REM sleep?

I have the same issue. Obviously the data is available, but they have not chosen to include it in the export data. Sometimes I think I should write an app that would capture the data from a screenshot of the graph!.
