Fitbit Alta HR battery and sync issue

Only 12 months old roughly, but now the battery will only last a day or two (not even one yesterday). And it won't sync anymore but I can't figure out why. I can't get through to Fitbit due to the covid limitations

Hi @BigBethFit

Please restart your fitbit at least three times and restart your phone.

Also clean the charging contacts and make sure your fitbit is charging fully 100%.

I also don't charge my fitbit till the battery dies (but that's just me)  - I find that it elongates the battery life of a device (it's something i've always done with my electronic devices).

To add, you can also turn off all day sync and notifications to see if that helps with the battery life.

To Restart the Alta HR:

  1. Plug your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. Your tracker will begin charging.
  3. Press the button on your charging cable 3 times within a few seconds, briefly pausing between presses. The button is on the end of the charging cable that is plugged into your computer. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
  4. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Please let us know if this was helpful.

I tried thanks, unfortunately it didn't help. My friend said try delete device and then re add it. So I did but it says found device I put the number in but it says pairing failed! And it won't pair no matter what I do. Soo frustrating ☹️

Yes I have. I have only got 2 other device both off (headphones and a speaker)  I have even tried at other places. It's only 12 and a half months old. I expected it to last longer.. but nothing helps ,😥
