I have been a Fitbit user for a number of years, I am ready to put my Alta under the wheels of my car and run over it. The only thing that stops me is that my late husband bought it for me. Since day one, it keeps going dead on me. Last week I left home with 2,800 steps showing, I went for a 45 minute walk, when I got home it was showing only 192 steps, what happened to me 2,800 and what I had accumulated during my walk.
My husband had a One which I keep going, I alternate while the other is charging. I must say, this little One is a lot better functioning, not only does it keep track of your steps, but it counts flights of stairs too.
I am quite frustrated with the Alta. Is there anything I can do to have my faith returned. I wear it for 24-30 hours then it goes dead, I have to remove it from my iPhone, charge it, then reinstall, such a nuisance. Also why does it keep going dormant on me? Very frustrating. This is quickly enforcing me to look for an alternate product. The Nike app works well and is free!

You should not have to remove it from your account to charge it. Why are you doing that?

I have to remove it from my account as the Alta can not be found. I remove the device and once I plug it in, it displays a code allowing me to reinstall. Just trying to recharge doesn’t work. Must say this has become very frustrating for me. I am 74 years old and I am quickly losing patience.
