Fitbit Alta can't be set up

I'm setting up my fitbit for the first time, it's fully charged because when I press the charger button on the USB the power symbol comes up. When I try pairing it to my iPhone, it will not work. I've tried tapping the screen to make sure that it is on but the only thing that comes up is a faint text that says 'www.fitbit.com/setup' but that's what I'm doing on my phone? What am I doing wrong?

@milliejohnsoon It's great to have you aboard in our Fitbit Community! Seems odd that your Alta can't be set up. I would like to follow up and would like to know if the issue persists or if your Alta is working and could be set up .

having the same issue.. I went to sync my alta and it wouldn't sync - i deleted it and am trying to add it back but the ap says it cant find it.. it is really getting anoying.. and im about to throw it away

@SunsetRunner Thanks for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! Is there any error message when you try adding your Alta back to your Dashboard? If so, please provide a screenshot of the error. In the meantime, try turning off the Bluetooth, restart your phone and turn the Bluetooth on again. Finally, follow the setup process one more time.

I am trying to pair my Alta to my phone. I have used the Alta before but not in a few months and it was with another phone. I have tried turning on and off Bluetooth and restarting my phone 3 times. This is my second day trying to set it up. Alta is on and on the charger

Since your Fitbit Alta is not pairing to your phone, I'd like to know what is the brand and model of your phone. This will help me to determined the cause of the issue.

@Cob24, thank you for providing the details of your phone.

 

I'm afraid that the Huawei P Smart 2019 is not added in the Supported devices list. This may be the reason why your Alta is not connecting with your phone properly.

 

However, I'd like you to submit a request in our Feature Suggestion board and people can vote for it. The more votes your request gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our engineering team.
