Fitbit randomly turns off

My Alta Fitbit has started turning itself off. It's not due to running out of power, I've checked that.  I can restart it by rebooting with the charger, but I'm having to do that more and more frequently,  The Fitbit is a couple of years old and has only started having this problem in the last month or so.

Looking at these forums, it seems that this is a common problem. But I don't see any solutions offered, other than buying a new Fitbit.  Have I missed anything?

Mine is doing a similar thing. I can connect to charger and the battery level isn’t flat, When I have charged it fully it lasted over night and part of the morning but has now stopped working and no flashing light at the back to show battery is working. Wonder if battery needs replacing? Any advice appreciated as don’t really want to buy another. Thanks

  • Mines been doing that 1-3 times a day for about a month. The battery isn’t low but it shuts itself off. Have had it 2.5 years & won’t get another one.

This is happening to me, too. Right after I connect it to the charger, it starts working, but the time doesn't sync up for a few hours. I attempted an online chat and juust got that they're "working on it"

They told me that my Fitbit is no longer under warranty and gave me a code for 35% off of a new one. I actually found a new one on Amazon Prime for cheaper

I am having the same issue. I don't want to carry my charger around all day. I wish there was a fix.

Hi, there doesn’t appear to be one. I’ve given up and bought an Apple Watch
instead. Hopefully I’ll have better luck!

Experiencing the same issues. Set and reset, did everything possible, followed all supposedly ways to restore functioning. It works for a little bit then just stops working! Battery is full, not the issue. Fitbit just QUITS WORKING for no reason!  Help!
