Issues with Alta

I’m new to FitBit, this is my first tracker and I bought it from a lady in my neighborhood marketplace. It worked for a couple days, but now dies every day, several times a day. I’m guessing she sold it to me because of this issue, but she said it worked. Is this a normal thing with Altas because they’re an older model?

Hi @Lel2017  they stopped making the Alta series more than two years ago, so her device was already old when you got it. When you say it dies, what exactly is it doing? You can often help things by doing a restart of the device using the original charger that came with it. Have you tried that?

I was only given a generic charger by the person who sold it to me. By dying I mean, no screen display, no tracking. Restarts when I attach to charger, charges, but then dies about an hour after even though it says fully charged. Definitely my mistake for not doing any research

@Lel2017  to restart, you press the button on the charger closest to the usb. Your charger doesn't have this? It's important to have as you can't restart without it. Sorry this happened to you.
